Description
The existence of the Blue Room is impossible to confirm. The only people who have seen it don't return, or are bound by too many non-disclosure agreements to tell tales. All that's known is that whatever is in the room is the last thing you see before you join the AFTER. So there are only rumors.

The Blue Room is a room with stark white floors and tiled computer screens cover the walls and ceilings. The electronic sliding door locks automatically from the outside. The only furniture in the room is a white chair that sits in the center. The room is hidden on the floor below the AFTER server rooms, which are both on closed lower levels of the tower. Mantra Corporation uses the government-issued pollution quarantine of these levels to their advantage to keep their work from the eyes of the general population.

When a person enters the room, the screens are dimly lit with a white light. They sit down, and an electronic voice guides them through their verbal contract to give up their earthly life to join the AFTER. Their families will be provided for with a small monthly allowance as a sign of their loved one's devotion to the Mother. After confirming, the screens go black, plunging the person into darkness for a few seconds. Before they can adjust to the dark, every screen turns on full-brightness to blue screens. They are surrounded by this blinding blue light before the tech used to upload their soul to the server rises from invisible compartments in the ground to rest against their heads. With the help of the disorienting light, an injection is made, the mind is uploaded, and the body is removed from the Blue Room. The specific technology Mantra Corporation uses is tightly under wraps.
None of this is common knowledge to the public. The name "The Blue Room" comes from scavengers who claim to see brief bursts of blue lights in one of the blocked off lower levels of the tower.
